deoxy.org, the Deoxyribonucleic Hyperdimension, was a sprawling hypertext temple of the psychedelic and countercultural web, online from the mid 1990s until it went dark in the late 2010s. It collected essays, lectures, manifestos and oddities from Timothy Leary, Terence McKenna, Robert Anton Wilson, Alan Watts, John Lilly, Hakim Bey, CrimethInc. and many others, alongside a wiki, a forum, Zen koans and an I Ching oracle.
The original site was created and curated by an individual known only by the pseudonym Dimitri Novus (“dimitri” on the site). This archive is not affiliated with them; it exists to keep their work available.
This site is a non-commercial restoration made from a personal download of the original site taken in 2020. The pages have been cleaned of their old frames, scripts and pop-ups and re-set for modern screens. Nothing has been rewritten. Where the original linked to pages that couldn't be recovered, links point to the Internet Archive's copy of deoxy.org (marked ⌛). The forum, news feeds and other dynamic parts of the old site were not preserved.
